Eileen DeCesare
Eileen DeCesare, RN, MS, CNAA, LNC, NE-BC

Based on a passion for providing quality homecare services for clients and their families, Eileen DeCesare created Professional Healthcare Resources in 1994. Mrs. DeCesare's career spans 51 years in the healthcare industry and includes roles in clinical nursing, nursing education, and nursing and homecare administration. She believes that leaving the world a little better is the definition of success and the pursuit of excellence is a value she holds dear. She has used that value as a guiding light for the company.

After graduating from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Quezon City, Philippines, Mrs. DeCesare was recruited to the United States in 1964. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing from University of Illinois and a Masters in Public Administration – Healthcare Management from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois. She served in many successive nursing leadership roles at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, before moving to the Washington, D.C. area. Mrs. DeCesare served as Assistant Director of Nursing for Special Projects at Howard University Hospital and as Deputy Director of Nursing in charge of day-to-day operations and Director of Nursing Systems at D.C. General Hospital for 11 years.

Mrs. DeCesare has received many certifications, honors and awards. They include Legal Nurse Consultant, Certification in Nursing Administration, Advanced; inclusion in Sigma Theta Tau's 100 Extraordinary Nurses in D.C., 2003; St. Luke’s Nursing Alumni Foundation, USA Outstanding Alumni, 1994; Who's Who in America; 2002 Honored Professional in Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals; and Board Certification as Nurse Executive by the American Organization of Nurse Executives and by the American Nurses Association. She was also named as Most Outstanding Migrant in 2009 and named as one of 20 Outstanding Filipinos Abroad in 2009.

She has also served as a volunteer and officer in many community and charitable organizations. In 1991, Mrs. DeCesare was named as Mrs. Philippines Nation's Capital, for her fundraising efforts for the Mrs. Philippines Home for Senior Citizens located in Oxon Hill, Maryland. She has testified before the National Institute of Health on Women's Health and Nursing issues. In 1992 she was part of a relief mission to the Philippines providing assistance to victims of the Mount Pinatubo volcanic eruptions which devastated vast areas of that country.

Mrs. DeCesare has been a member of many professional associations including the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She also served as President of the Philippine Nurses Association of Metropolitan Washington and on the Board of Directors of the Philippine Nurses Association of America and the Board of Directors for Ecosystem Solutions, Inc.
